Open-source intelligence (OSINT) is information sourced from openly and legally available data that can be used to identify and find people, as well as map their connections and relationships with others.

This makes high-quality OSINT a profoundly useful tool for professionals who need to understand as much as possible about who they’re working with or looking for.

Such professionals may include private investigators, attorneys, auditors, investigative journalists, and high-risk employers, as well as members of intelligence agencies or law enforcement.

While OSINT is technically available to the public, few people truly understand how much detailed information can be obtained from it, and even fewer understand how to legally and effectively access it.

Most OSINT is obtained from the deep web and dark web, which contain an estimated 85% of the total information available on the World Wide Web — yet are not readily accessible via conventional internet search engines.

Through our two-hour introductory workshops, we deliver a powerful insight into this murky world, demonstrating the opportunities as well as pitfalls it creates, and showing you the tools you need to properly take advantage of it.

The workshop is presented by Craig Pedersen, the owner of TCG Forensics and a registered member of both the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and the International Association of Forensic Crimes Investigators (IAFCI).

Craig is a leading exponent of the digital forensics field, who draws on a a vast wealth of knowledge accumulated over more than 25 years of study and practice in sales management, criminal and commercial intelligence, due diligence, and fraud investigation
